This painting was inspired by my cats Muse and Java. Muse is my tabby, the star of the show in this piece. Don’t worry, Java will shine in the spot light in the next one! Here she is, represented by the panthers roaming the background. Her name was originally Journey, which is what ultimately led me to the title I chose. I started this in late 2021, it was hung up on the wall of my studio for 2 years while I randomly picked at it, adding new flowers or animals in the spots that felt empty. After a long journey of painting this jungle, I finally came to a point where I looked at it and said, “it’s finished”.
